QAF Calendar/Timeline

Bougie v Monarchist Bear
I mentioned watching Queer as Folk three times in my last post. This time, I figured I should do something useful. (Useful or batshit insane, the jury is still out on that one.) So I took notes and so far I've come up with this:

I start showing my brother season 4 this Friday, and I'll post the completed version as soon as we get through the last two seasons.

Updated: I finally finished it. If anyone has any specific questions as to why I spaced things out the way I did, feel free to ask. I'd be happy to consult my notes and explain which evidence I'm giving priority and my reasoning as to why.

FYI: The show timeline was a bit off. The first season was definitely 2001. There were actual dates in the show. Seasons 4 and 5 were dated 2004 and 2005 on screen. But only 4 years passed in the show narrative (unless Mel was pregnant for 2 years). So it was either move the later seasons back or the early seasons forward--I went with moving the later ones back but could have easily gone the other way. My goal was to put events on a calendar relative to each other, the years are just there for perspective.

Where is he a Pisces? I don't remember a mention of it in the series, but I may have missed it in my notes.

and the 02-09-16 march 2002 : are Pisces. (I don't remember but it seems I read somewhere that there's a reference in an episode.) - But if I recall exactly it's Ben saying that to Emmett ...

During that episode, Michael said their birthdays were on the same day, Saturday, but I'm sure there was no mention of a specific date and I don't think an astrological sign was mentioned in that particular episode. It may have come up in a Season 5 episode, which I haven't gotten to yet or in an earlier episode where I didn't note it down because I didn't remember that Ben's b'day was going to be a plot point.

However, I'd still just note it down in orange as something contradictory. Ben & Justin's b'day has to be in December. That's the only way I could make 114 and 216 exactly a year apart, keep 101 and 202 about a year apart, not move Prom out of Prom season, keep the school year to a normal schedule, and fit in all the episodes in order.

Saying Ben is a Sagittarius rather than a Pisces is a much smaller change.

I vaguely recall Ben mentioning the Pisces thing just after he met Michael, when Michael was still shocked about the HIV; it was something along the lines of, "Sorry, I haven't fihured out yet how to drop that bomb casually, 'Hi, I'm Ben, I'm a pisces, and I'm HIV positive'."

I agree though that in season one Justin's birthday was clearly in December. I guess you just have o pick which you like best. (On the driver's license prop we see in season three the birth date was in November, so lots of dates to choose from....)

And I wanted to say that's a very impressive timeline! I attempted such a detailed calendar once, but then it turned kind of stream-of-consciousness.
